Cobra² is an evolution of the famous Cobra, which has sold several thousand units worldwide. Cobra² has been specifically developed for use in the United States. Cobra² is certified and compliant with US FDA CDRH laser product requirements, conforming to the strictest safety standards for laser sources.
This new luminaire incorporates several sensors that analyse the position and size of the beam in real time. An interface can be used to determine projection exclusion zones by integrating safety distances. Cobra² pushes back all limits in terms of beam definition, with native contrast never achieved by a digital light source. Cobra² offers an incredible beam angle of 0.9° and an extreme focusing range that allows the beam shape to be adjusted according to distance of use. Cobra² features a new-generation speckle-free laser source developed to deliver D65 white point for perfect colour reproduction. Featuring a 170mm front lens, the proprietary 13-lens optical system offers an unprecedented 38x zoom range.
Cobra² features a highly innovative colour section including a CMY mixing system and an instant-access multi-position wheel equipped with six corrective filters, 21 complementary colour filters and a progressive CTO on two concentric circles.
Cobra² boasts unrivalled graphics capability with a vast choice of 92 fixed and rotating metal gobos on two wheels, specifically designed to sculpt light in beam mode and incorporating an animation wheel. These gobos can be combined with two palettes of four individual, combinable rotating prisms to create a multitude of volumetric effects. Light and heavy frost filters complete Cobra²'s palette of graphics tools.
Equally at home indoors or outdoors, Cobra² has been developed as a unique multi-purpose luminaire that incorporates all waterproofing functions whilst retaining total accessibility and contained weight. It is capable of operating in the most extreme situations, has a protection system against the sun's rays and an integrated heating system against temperatures below -20°C (-4°F). Cobra² is as unique as ever.
