The 4006A offers exceptional versatility, delivering clean, natural, and precise sound reproduction for engineers, broadcasters, and musicians alike. Its omnidirectional condenser design makes it ideal for A-B stereo pairs in symphonic concert hall recordings, and it performs equally well on vocals and close-miking a wide range of instruments.
A comprehensive range of accessories—including acoustic pressure equalisers, a nose cone, and interchangeable protection grids—allows the microphone’s acoustic characteristics to be tailored. By swapping grids, users can achieve different frequency responses and directional patterns without introducing phase shift, noise, or distortion that an electrical filter might produce. These accessories are included in the Stereo and Surround Kits.
