Large Diaphragm with Enhanced SPL Handling.
This large-diaphragm omnidirectional condenser microphone capsule is designed for use with solid-state phantom power and operates in a standard 48 V environment. Both the diaphragm and housing are constructed from stainless steel, providing exceptional resistance to ambient temperature changes. A precision-engineered back plate mounted in a quartz insulator ensures maximum electrical stability.
The 4041 Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone delivers a wide frequency response from 10 Hz to 20 kHz, with a smooth 4–6 dB presence boost around 8 kHz. It offers extremely low self-noise of just 8 dB(A) and enhanced SPL handling of up to 134 dB before clipping, making it suitable for demanding recording situations.
Equipped with the MMC4041 large-diaphragm capsule, the microphone provides outstanding sonic detail and clarity, with a high sensitivity of up to 90 mV/Pa. The capsule can be unscrewed from the MMP4000-SP preamplifier, allowing the preamp to be swapped as needed for added flexibility.
