The GLP HIGHLANDER Wash is a powerful, high-performance fixture that delivers exceptional output and image quality from a compact discharge-source design with an advanced optical system.
Powered by a 1,400 W lamp and featuring a large 230 mm (9") front lens, the HIGHLANDER Wash produces an impressive level of brightness without compromising on quality. With a native colour temperature of 6,000 K, its optics achieve CRI, CQS, and TM-30 values of 90 or higher for accurate, natural colour rendering.
Its high-output optical system offers a fast 7:1 zoom range, spanning from a tight 4° beam to a wide 61° wash. Precise beam shaping is achieved through a responsive motorized iris and a full four-blade framing system. Each blade can tilt independently and travel across the entire beam for curtain-style blackout, with the full framing module capable of 90° rotation for maximum flexibility and repeatability.
Colour control is handled by a dichroic CMY mixing system, delivering everything from delicate pastels to deep, saturated hues. This is complemented by two independently controlled colour wheels, each with seven colours plus open, and a separate dichroic CTO system that allows colour temperature adjustment from 2,700 K to 6,000 K. Together, these systems provide a wide and adaptable colour palette suitable for any lighting environment.
Additional features include smooth dimming with multiple selectable curves, dedicated shutter control with built-in macros, fast 16-bit pan and tilt movement, and an ECO operating mode. The compact, baseless design allows the fixture to be rigged in any orientation, with power via Neutrik True1 and data connections through 5-pin XLR or Ethernet supporting DMX, Art-Net, and sACN protocols.
Flicker-free operation, a battery-powered control system for setup without mains power, an auto-sensing power supply, four integrated carrying handles, and extensive rigging options all contribute to its practicality. Weighing just 29.5 kg (65 lbs), the HIGHLANDER Wash stands out as a versatile and dependable lighting workhorse.
