The OC-B6 is the world’s first large-diaphragm condenser microphone purpose-built specifically for kick drum. Handcrafted in Vienna and engineered to withstand extreme sound pressure levels in excess of 170 dB, it captures the full power and detail of the kick with exceptional clarity and control.
Designed with no pre-EQ or artificial voicing, the OC-B6 delivers a pure, uncoloured kick drum signal — from deep, rounded low end to precise modern attack — giving engineers complete freedom to shape the sound at the desk.
Engineered for Extreme Performance
The OC-B6 features discrete electronics for ultra-fast transient response and exceptional headroom, ensuring accurate signal capture without compression or distortion. A precisely tuned 25 Hz subsonic filter removes unwanted low-frequency rumble while preserving maximum headroom.
An integrated stand thread removes the need for external clips, providing faster setup and improved reliability in both studio and live environments.
CKR6-B Capsule Technology
At the core of the OC-B6 is the CKR6-B 1" true condenser capsule, developed specifically for extreme SPL applications. Based on Austrian Audio’s ceramic capsule technology and re-engineered for kick drum use, it delivers virtually unlimited headroom with minimal coloration.
By increasing the diaphragm-to-electrode distance and lowering the resonance frequency, the CKR6-B maintains stability and clarity even under the most demanding conditions — delivering clean, controlled and musical low-frequency performance every time.
