The Meyer Sound M-1A is a single-channel, line-level electronic processor designed as the final component in the signal chain before the power amplifier. Optimised specifically for the UM-1A and UPA-1A loudspeakers, it is pre-aligned at the factory to maximise their performance.
- SpeakerSense™ Driver Protection: Continuously monitors the power applied to the loudspeaker drivers and actively limits the high- and low-frequency outputs to prevent overheating and damage under high-power conditions.
- Frequency and Phase Alignment: Features built-in analog circuitry that corrects the frequency response and phase alignment of the connected speakers for highly accurate audio reproduction.
- Peak and RMS Limiting: Incorporates separate limiting safeguards, including RMS limiters for low/high frequencies and a VHF (Very High Frequency) peak limiter.
- Safeguard Switch: A switch-selectable backup/safeguard function found behind the front-panel cover plate. It temporarily widens the safety margin of the system when prolonged periods of overload are anticipated.
- Active Crossover: Acts as the crossover for bi-amplified speaker setups, with an electronic crossover frequency set at 1600 Hz.
- Security & Control: Setup controls are recessed behind a front cover plate to prevent unauthorized tampering with installer presets.
