The Meyer Sound UPA-1C is a legacy, high-power bi-amplified loudspeaker. It features a proprietary 12-inch low-frequency cone driver and a high-frequency driver coupled with an 80° horizontal horn. Designed to operate with the dedicated M-1A Control Electronics Unit, it delivers low distortion and high intelligibility for sound reinforcement.
- Bi-Amplified Design: Requires external professional-quality amplification (200–300 watts per channel continuously into 8 ohms) to separate the low and high frequencies efficiently.
- M-1A System Integration: Pairs with the Meyer Sound M-1A controller, which acts as an electronic crossover and provides phase response alignment and amplitude optimisation.
- SpeakerSense™ Protection: Includes exclusive driver protection circuitry that safeguards the components against thermal and mechanical overload.
- Wide, Controlled Coverage: Features an 80° horizontal high-frequency horn for broad, even sound dispersion across wide listening areas.
- Arrayable Build: Compact, trapezoidal hardwood enclosure designed to be deployed singly or arrayed with other UPA-1C units.
- Durable Construction: Housed in a rugged, furniture-grade multi-ply hardwood cabinet coated with a textured, weather-resistant finish and equipped with handles and standard rigging points.
