All-Analogue Stereo Mix Bus Processor
The SSL Fusion is a 2U all-analogue stereo outboard processor featuring five independent colouration tools — designed to add tonal character, weight, and space to your mix bus or stereo stems with the warmth and finesse only real analogue circuits can deliver. Each processor can be used individually or combined for a fully tailored sound.
Vintage Drive
A unique non-linear harmonic enhancement circuit with interactive Drive and Density controls producing harmonic saturation and soft compression. Use subtly for gentle thickening or push hard for more extreme analogue distortion.
Violet EQ
SSL's first new analogue EQ circuit in over 25 years — a minimum phase-shift two-band shelving EQ with four switched frequency points per band and ±9dB attenuation, designed to quickly dial in low-end weight and high-end sheen.
HF Compressor
A high-frequency-only compressor delivering smooth, transparent harshness reduction and tape-like HF roll-off — ideal for taming brittle high-frequency fizz without affecting the rest of the signal.
Stereo Image
A true analogue Mid-Side circuit that manipulates the Side signal for precise stereo widening and spatial control of the mix.
Transformer
A switched custom SSL transformer circuit introducing subtle low-frequency saturation and high-frequency phase shift simultaneously — thickening the low-end while adding sparkle to the highs.
Workflow & Connectivity
±12dB input and output trim, large peak-hold metering, input overload LED, 3rd-order high-pass filter with three selectable frequencies, and tri-colour status indicators. XLR insert connections switch between stereo mix bus insert and Mid-Side mode — with switchable insert point pre-Violet EQ or pre-Stereo Image. All I/O via XLR.
