GLP JDC Burst 1 – Next-Generation Hybrid LED Strobe & Wash.

The GLP JDC Burst 1 represents the next evolution of hybrid LED strobe lighting. Building on the success of the legendary JDC1 and drawing on technology from the flagship JDC2 IP, the JDC Burst 1 delivers dramatically increased brightness, richer colour output, and greater creative flexibility. Housed in a rugged IP65-rated enclosure, it is built to perform reliably in the most demanding touring and outdoor environments.

At the heart of the fixture is a 12-segment controllable white strobe line, paired with two high-output RGBW LED plates for powerful wash and effect lighting. A motorised 185° tilt and control of 1,200 RGBW LEDs, arranged into 48 individually controllable segments, allow lighting designers to create fast-moving, high-impact visuals that bring stages and festivals to life.

The newly developed white strobe LEDs are significantly brighter than those found in the original JDC1, delivering explosive flashes with exceptional punch. Meanwhile, the enhanced RGBW system provides a much wider colour gamut—from subtle pastels to deep, saturated tones. Compared to the JDC1, colour output has been increased by 120% in red, 60% in green, and 30% in blue, plus a powerful white channel for added intensity and balance.

Designed for real-world production environments, the fully sealed IP65 system protects the fixture from rain, dust, pyro residue, and confetti. Unlike ventilated fixtures that draw in contaminants and require frequent servicing, the JDC Burst 1 remains largely maintenance-free, ensuring long-term reliability and reduced downtime.

Flexible control options include DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and GLP iQ.Mesh, with multi-patch functionality for advanced programming and easy integration into complex lighting systems. Despite its high output, the fixture remains lightweight at just 14 kg and features ergonomic carrying handles for fast, safe handling.

Versatile mounting options—including Camlock quick-release points for vertical mounting—make the JDC Burst 1 quick to rig and adapt to any setup. Whether used as a high-impact strobe, a vivid wash light, or a dynamic effects fixture, the GLP JDC Burst 1 offers exceptional performance and creative freedom for modern lighting productions.
