The GLP JDC2 IP is an innovative hybrid LED strobe designed to deliver exceptional visibility, increased output, and unparalleled creative flexibility. Expanding on the JDC concept, it introduces an integrated high-intensity beam line alongside powerful RGB lighting, making it a true multi-purpose fixture for modern stage, broadcast, and outdoor productions.
The beam line features 84 high-performance white LEDs, each rated at 10 W, producing an exceptionally powerful and realistic strobe effect. Optimised, ultra-steep flash ramps enhance the perception of intensity, while 12 individually controllable segments enable complex flash chases, intensity effects, and access to over 100 static and dynamic strobe patterns.
With a luminous surface area of 1,025 cm² (159 in²), the JDC2 IP delivers increased visual presence and up to 25% higher perceived brightness. Its 1,728 RGB LEDs provide rich, saturated colours and high-output diffuse lighting, allowing stages and architectural spaces to be completely immersed in colour. When combined with haze, the fixture produces a particularly striking and atmospheric visual impact. A specialised black LED masking ensures a clean black front appearance while eliminating unwanted reflections from external light sources.
Both colour plates can be addressed independently in 12 or 24 segments, offering precise control for advanced pixel mapping and animation effects. Beyond conventional lighting effects, the JDC2 IP features an integrated pixel matrix engine powered by a Dual Cortex CPU with dedicated 3D graphics processing. This enables the use of GLP DigiFX, a library of over 100 pre-designed digital effects, all running internally without the need for a media server or external playback device.
For even greater creative freedom, multiple DigiFX parameters can be manipulated in real time. The fixture also supports the direct input of up to four external NDI video streams via redundant Gigabit EtherCon ports, allowing dynamic video content to be displayed directly on the JDC2 IP—without licenses, interfaces, or costly video processors.
A motorised head with approximately 180° tilt allows precise positioning for flexible lighting design. The modern, extremely robust housing is fully IP65-rated, making the JDC2 IP suitable for permanent indoor installations as well as demanding outdoor touring environments.
For streamlined setup and servicing, the JDC2 IP includes GLP iQ.Mesh with NFC Connect, ensuring fast system integration and intuitive control of internal effects and DigiFX. The result is a powerful all-in-one hybrid strobe and effects solution that allows designers to focus on what matters most—creative impact.
