The GLP impression X5 represents the next generation of high-performance professional LED washlights, building on the success of its predecessors with advanced technology shaped by extensive user feedback. At its core are 19 powerful, custom 40W LED sources that deliver exceptional output, capable of cutting through even the most challenging lighting environments.
Developed specifically for an expanded colour gamut, the impression X5 features GLP’s innovative iQ.Gamut algorithm, ensuring outstanding accuracy, consistency, and colour quality. White points are precisely calibrated to the black body line, while the expanded gamut can be accessed through three selectable colour control modes. A virtual colour wheel with 64 LEE filter references further enhances creative flexibility.
Each LED can be individually controlled for full pixel-mapping effects, supported by a comprehensive effects engine with dual layers and a wide selection of dynamic pattern macros. Using iQ.Gamut, the fixture delivers perfectly calibrated white light with CRI 90 at 6,500 K, along with selectable fixed white points down to 3,200 K while maintaining a CRI of 85+. Dedicated channels allow smooth colour temperature adjustment, magenta/green correction, and tungsten simulation with multiple preset variations.
The impression X5 features ultra-fast zoom mechanics with an impressive 16:1 range, spanning from a tight 3.5° beam to a wide 63° wash, maintaining smooth, even output throughout with no visible hotspots. A newly designed circular front face incorporates geometric elements that create visually striking effects with minimal programming effort.
Built around GLP’s signature baseless design, the impression X5 weighs just 13.3 kg (29.3 lbs) and can be rigged in any orientation using the X5 bracket, ensuring an elegant appearance in any setup. Integrated front accessory mounts allow for quick addition of elements such as top hats or honeycomb shields.
Precise 16-bit pan and tilt movement delivers speeds ranging from near-silent to extremely fast, with 540°/650° pan and 220° tilt, all with full feedback control. The fixture supports DMX, Art-Net, and sACN control, and includes Near Field Control for easy setup via smart devices, along with the GLP iQ.Service Module and FPO port for expanded protocol options.
Additional features include variable PWM settings, auto-ranging power input, multiple performance modes, and fail-safe Ethernet connectors. With its attention to detail, output, and control, the impression X5 sets a new benchmark in the professional LED washlight market.
