PEARL/RUBY2 with 48" 10-pin cable
RUBY 2 is the top of JH Audio’s active range, pairing a 10-driver universal IEM with the Pearl tri-amp processor. The drivers have been upgraded and tested to tighter tolerances than the original, which gives RUBY 2 the widest dynamic range in JH Audio’s active line. Inside each earpiece are quad lows, dual mids and quad highs, delivering deep, punchy bass, detailed mids and clear, extended highs. It comes in translucent red only.
What sets it apart is the Pearl. Instead of a passive crossover, the Pearl splits the signal into low, mid and high bands and amps each one separately. Using the Pearl Control Software on Windows or macOS, you can adjust gain, phase, time alignment and EQ on each band, then save your settings as presets. The software comes with a selection of preset frequency responses, and JH Audio adds more as they’re developed. You can switch between them over USB-C.
You can also set different levels for each ear, which is especially useful for anyone with uneven hearing. The Pearl clips onto your belt and runs for 10 to 12 hours on a charge, with latency under 1ms.
