The Blacklight II Bridge is a high channel count, ultra-low latency interface carrying 256 bidirectional channels of 48 or 96kHz 24-bit audio plus control data between SSL Live consoles and Dante devices on stage. Designed primarily for fixed installation applications where ruggedised connections are not required, the BLII Bridge connects to the console using SSL's proprietary high-density Blacklight II protocol over multimode LC fibre, and to the Dante network via standard Ethernet cables (LC fibre connections also available).
The BLII Bridge provides access to the benefits of a scalable and flexible Audio over IP network with seamless routing and control directly from the console. All connections and power supplies are fully redundant. The BLII Bridge can be co-located with the console or positioned on stage or in a machine room for maximum deployment flexibility. Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) network switches can be utilised to build a modular, high-capacity I/O infrastructure tailored precisely to a venue's requirements.
