The OC-S10 is a reference-grade large-diaphragm condenser microphone, meticulously engineered for capturing lead vocals and solo instruments with exceptional precision and clarity. Featuring five selectable polar patterns, three low-cut filter options, and switchable -10dB and -20dB pads, the OC-S10 delivers outstanding versatility to accommodate any recording scenario. The dual-output configuration (both standard XLR) provides maximum post-production flexibility, enabling you to discover and refine your ideal sound during mixing.
The included shock mount incorporates a ball-joint connection for precise and effortless microphone positioning during setup. Additionally, the magnetically attached metal mesh filter (not illustrated) effectively reduces unwanted plosive sounds whilst preserving the complete tonal richness and detail of the vocal frequency range.
The supplied pop filter attaches magnetically to the shock mount at the optimal distance from the OC-S10. Utilising frameless metal foam construction, it provides substantial attenuation of plosive and wind noise with virtually no impact on frequency response.
Conventional pop filter designs often introduce problematic comb filtering through acoustic reflections. The refraction and dissipation characteristics of our porous metal material prevent plosives from reaching the OC-S10 without creating unwanted high-frequency artefacts.
